Interim HR Leadership

Whether your HR leader is taking a leave of absence, departing the organization, or you are conducting a search for a permanent replacement, Senta provides experienced interim HR leadership to maintain stability, support leaders, and keep critical people initiatives moving forward.
Our interim leaders step into executive and senior HR roles to provide informed judgment, operational continuity, and strategic partnership during periods of transition. Coverage may be available for roles including Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Chief People Officer (CPO), Head of Human Resources, VP or SVP of Human Resources, and senior HR Business Partner leadership positions. Additional roles may be considered based on the needs of the engagement and availability within our network.
The goal is not simply to fill a seat, but to ensure the organization continues to receive thoughtful, experienced HR leadership until a permanent solution is in place.

How the Model Works
Every interim engagement begins with an assessment of the leadership gap, organizational needs, anticipated timeframe, and desired level of coverage.
Senta works with organizational leadership to determine:
- The responsibilities of the role being covered
- The expected duration of the engagement
- Whether part-time or full-time support is needed
- Key priorities requiring immediate attention
When supporting a planned leave of absence, we strongly prefer overlap both before the leave begins and when the leader returns. This allows for effective knowledge transfer, continuity of critical work, and a smoother transition back into the role.
When supporting an unexpected vacancy or leadership transition, Senta maintains documentation of key decisions, initiatives, risks, and ongoing priorities to support onboarding and knowledge transfer for the incoming permanent leader. Whenever possible, we recommend a transition period that allows overlap with the new hire.
While an interim leader may approach work differently than the individual being replaced, our objective is to provide consistent leadership, informed decision-making, and stable support throughout the transition.
Organizations may choose to provide company-issued equipment, system access, and internal email credentials, though specific arrangements are determined based on the needs of the engagement.
